KISHTWAR, May 30: Hydro electric projects workers have decided to go on indefinite strike from June 3.
This was informed by Harbans Chowdhary Working President Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh while interacting with media persons.
He said that the deliberations with the Regional Labour Commissioner have failed and the workers of the hydro electric projects have decided to go on indefinite strike till their demand is not redressed.
“We got no response from the concerned agencies towards our demand”, he said, adding that their main demand is implementation of Minimum Wages Act as per central law.
He alleged that the workers are being exploited by executing agencies which forced them to issue strike notice.
Other leaders of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh were also present during the press conference.
