SAMBA, Dec 17: The workers of the Visen Industry Limited located at SIDCO Phase 1, Bari Brahmana today staged strong protest against the owner of the industry for non payment of their long pending wages here at DC Office Complex Samba.
The protest was led by Rajinder Kumar a worker of the industry. A large number of workers of the Industry assembled in front of DC Office Complex Samba. They raised slogans against owner and the officer of the industry located at Industrial area Bari Brahmana. They alleged that the Officer of the Industry has failed to release their wages of over time for last six years. Many times they made request to the officer of the industry but they dole fake promises to them. If they meet to the owner of the industry then the officer concerning harasses then and resorts to man handling, They also said that they are without increment for last four years and have failed to provide other facility to them.
They further claimed several times they met with Assistant Labour Commissioner, Samba regarding this issue but he also failed to resolve their genuine demand. Although for last four years the industry management failed to gave the salary to them in time. They have appealed to Deputy Commissioner Samba to look into matter and resolved their issues.
