ANANTNAG, Feb 26: Scores of daily wagers today held protests at Lal Chowk in Anantnag district against the Government for its failure to fulfill their demands.
Workers, including the left over daily wagers, casual labourers, consolidated and need base workers were demanding their regularization of their services and release of pending wages.
Protesting under the banner of “J&K National Trade Union Front District Anantnag” they appealed the Government not to test the patience of workers who along with their families are suffering badly.
“We will intensify the agitation and will go on indefinite strike if our demands will not be fulfilled up to March 15,” they threatened.
