Working of CDTP Scheme reviewed

JAMMU, Aug 29: Executive and Advisory Committee of Community Development Through Polytechnic (CDTP) Scheme held a meeting at Kalamkari Centre Society under the chairmanship of Sita Anand, Educationist, Liaison Officer, General Zorawar Singh Auditorium Complex, University of Jammu.
Purnima Chaudhri, Principal Kalamkari Centre Society, Vocation Oriented Women’s Polytechnic presented the welcome address and highlighted the working of CDTP Scheme. She highlighted that the aim is to train the women in rural areas in skill development and also educate them about their health and hygiene and the main aim of the scheme is to empower the women in rural as well as urban areas.
Jeyoti Bhat, CDC of CDTP Scheme discussed the physical performance of  the year 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 (Ist and IInd Qrt).
Gagan Sharma, Accounts Manager of the Polytechnic discussed the financial progress of the Scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, PL Joshi, Representative from Gandhi Sewa Sadan, Jammu briefed the gathering by the type of work they require from the beneficiaries for the Gandhi Sewa Sadan outlets.
Sita Anand also spoke on the occasion and suggested that the consciousness about the work is needed from the beneficiary.
Archana Bhat and Teena Sharma from Jammu Urban Development Agency suggested that the publicity for the marketing of products is the social media. They also discussed the loan schemes offered by their department.
Anjli Radhu, representative from NGO Sewa Bharti shared her experiences while working with the SHG’s.
Babu Ram, Panch, Village Gangyal said that there should be more trainings and awareness camps to be held in their area.
The meeting was also attended by AK Tickoo, Shishu, Subash Langeh and Ashok Sharma.
The meeting concluded by the vote of thanks presented by Meenakshi, Internal Coordinator CDTP Scheme.
