JAMMU, May 12: State Working Committee meeting of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) J&K was held here today under the chairmanship of its State president, Dev Parkash.
The meeting started with report on 16th triennial conference recently held at Katra.
After this, a detailed strategy was chalked out by announcing Incharges of all districts along with Incharges of Central Employees Working in J&K and Ladakh.
It was also demanded that VDA must be linked with the minimum wages for which BMS was struggling since long and a resolution was also passed in State Conference in this regard which was sent to the LG for implementation of VDA, for constitution of Private Transport Workers Welfare Board and for preference to locals in employment in private sector.
A handout stated that as BMS is completing 70 years in 2024 and for celebrating the historic year, a detailed planning was made for yearlong activities starting with ‘BMS Flag Campaign’ on July 23, 2024 in all districts of J&K and Ladakh.
District conferences, study classes and registration of new unions were also discussed in the meeting and a strategy was made to move ahead in this aspect.
The membership of BMS mouth piece Vishwakarma Sanket was also planned to increase and get its readers all over J&K and Ladakh.
The meeting was attended by Ashok Choudhary, Sangathan Mantri; general secretary, Neelam Sharma; deputy general secretary, Mukesh Kumar; Ashfaq Ahmad, Chanan Singh Toor, Harbans Choudhary, Chuni Lal, Ramesh Lal, Subash Chander, Sachin Bali, Roshu Sharma, Karan Kapoor, Ravi Hans, Rajinder Sharma, Rohit Seth, Shobha Sharma, Jeevan Thakur, Sunil Kumar, Pawan Sharma, Anil Verma and Parshotam Kumar.
