NOWSHERA, May 11: The police smashed a working still and arrested a villager along with 5 litres of illicit liquor in Nowshera area today.
Official sources said that a police party led by SHO, Nowshera under the supervision of SDPO, Zakir Shaheen Mirza conducted a raid at village Seri Deeng in Nowshera sub division and spotted a working still in operation in nearby forest area. The police team destroyed nearly 100 litres of lahan and seized 5 ltr `Desi’ liquor. The accused Vijay Kumar from the same village was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered against him.
