Workshop on activities of Red Cross, Childline concludes

JAMMU, Sept 18: To aware the masses about the activities of Red Cross and Childline, three days workshop organized by District Red Cross Society, concluded today at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chowni.
On the concluding day, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, DC Jammu and Chairman of the District Red Cross Society was the chief guest, who while interacting with the Principals said that the Red Cross means missionary zeal and wished that a sea of humanity will join hands to serve all those in distress.
During the workshop, head of the institutions from all the zones of district Jammu were invited to encourage the participants to take part in the Red Cross activities.
The participants were also made aware of the Childline being run in the district by the society. A movie of Red Cross and Childine activities was also shown.
Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by Sushma Chauhan, Additional DC.
Among others present were Suresh Sharma, Executive Secretary, District Red Cross Society, Dinesh Gupta, Director, Childline, OP Gupta, Veteran Educationist, Rizwan from ICRC, Vijay Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and Sunita Pandita.
