JAMMU, Mar 20: A workshop on Basohli painting has been organised by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts in Jammu.
An all women artist workshop is one of its kind where the real Basohli artists who are reviving the tradition with all the traditional methods and colours are teaching and narrating the art to the young students of Jammu.
“By these small initiatives we may able to create the awareness about this exquisite art and rich Indian culture prevalent in Basohli,” one of the artists said.
A large number of people are regularly visiting the venue of workshop to witness and learn about the rich artistic culture of Basohli.
The Basohli paintings are famous across the world.
