Workshop on extension of Red Cross/Childline activities concludes

JAMMU, Feb 26: Three days workshop on extension of Red Cross/Childline activities organised by Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch Jammu for students and teachers of educational institutions concluded at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni today.
Nearly 46 students and 25 teachers attended this workshop with zeal and enthusiasm.
They were imparted theoretical as well as practical civil defence training, fire extinguisher rescue operation, disaster management training by Civil Defence experts, First Aid training by Dr Ranbhushan and Dr Rohini Bhan.
Lectures on Water sanitation and hygiene were delivered by Rajan Tandon from CCDU and Rajiv Khajuria from NDF. Lecture on Service to Humanity was by OP Gupta, Educationist.
The main objective of this workshop was to make teachers and students aware about first aid, use of fire extinguishers, water sanitation, hygiene, Right to Vote, human values and service to humanity.
Participation certificates were distributed among the students and teachers by Jugal Mahajan, senior Red Crosser, who was the chief guest of the day.
In the end, Suresh Sharma, executive secretary, district Red Cross Society Jammu presented vote of thanks.
Among others present were RC Puri, secretary, IRCS, Jammu Region, Sunita Pandit, Rameshwar, Kiran Kumar Sharma and Subhash Bali.
