Workshop on ‘How to write research papers & proposals’ begins at JU

JAMMU, Mar 23: A two-day workshop on “How to write research papers and proposals” by the Department of Commerce (SAP-DRS III), University of Jammu, began here today.
A total of 62 academicians and research scholars from different institutions and Departments of JU are participating in this workshop, which was formally inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma.
In his inaugural address, Prof Sharma emphasized on writing and publishing research papers in quality research journals at national and global levels. He also stressed the need for reliable and ethical research with social implication.
On the first day, two technical sessions were addressed by Dr Rajneesh Mahajan, Apeejay, School of Management and Technology, Dwarka, New Delhi on the theme of systematic approach to review of literature. He emphasized on problems faced by the research scholars and focused on various components of review of literature with detailed discussions and hands – on.
The third session was addressed by Prof I V Malhan, Central University of H P, Dharamshala on the theme of plagiarism. He explained the different ways, consequences and prevention of plagiarism along with checking plagiarism through different softwares.
The welcome note for the inaugural session was given by Prof Neetu Andotra (Co-ordinator SAP) while Prof Hardeep Chahal, HoD Commerce, felicitated Prof R D Sharma, on behalf of the department for the magnificent achievement as Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu.
