JAMMU, Mar 25: The Electrical Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Jammu successfully conducted a 10-day workshop on “Hands-On Training on the Advanced AC-DC Hybrid Distribution System.”
The workshop was held under the Karyashala Scheme, a Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) initiative, from 15th to 24th March 2023.
The keynote speakers were from key prestigious institutions such as IIT Bombay, IIT Mandi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Tirupati and IIT Jammu. Experts from Industries (TCS, Entuple, Technosys, SEL) and Government Bodies (POSOCO, JKSPDC, JKSLDC, JAKEDA) provided hands-on training by bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to the workshop.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of participants from NIT Goa, NIT Srinagar, NIT Raipur, MNNIT Allahabad, Gujarat Technical University, Aligarh Muslim University, Galgotias University, SMVDU Katra, and GCET Jammu.
The workshop was designed for Ph D, M Tech and faculty members of State Universities, and it featured expert lectures from various keynote speakers with hands-on sessions in the AADHRIT (Advanced AC-DC Hybrid Research and Innovation) Lab.
The workshop provided an excellent opportunity for participants to enhance their skills/expertise about the latest technologies in the Hybrid Distribution System and it did open the avenues for further research and application.
Overall, the workshop was a resounding success and the participants gained invaluable knowledge and practical experience in the field of Advanced AC-DC Hybrid Distribution System, said a press release by IIT Jammu.
