Workshop on Industrial Automation concludes at SMVDU

KATRA, Jan 3: Skill Development Workshop on Industrial Automation, organized by student managed Automation and Emerging Technologies (AET) Club at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, concluded with a great learning experience among the participants.
In the five-day workshop, students got hands on training on PLC, HMI, and SCADA. Dr Balbir Singh, Club Faculty Advisor, briefed the session while Dr Himanshu Kumar, Director, Indwell Automation was the workshop resource person.
On the occasion, Prof Eswarmoorthy Muthusamy, Head, School of Mechanical Engineering, motivated the students to pursue the emerging field of automation for future.
Dr Mir Irfan Ul Haq (Faculty Mentor of the Club) also shared his knowledge with the students and emphasized the need for conducting more such workshops. Dr Ankush Raina, Assistant Professor, B K Bhatia, Training and Placement Officer, Dr R K Mishra, Associate Professor and the President AET Club, SMVDU, Agam Balotra, also spoke on the occasion.
