JAMMU, Nov 6: A workshop on Quality Assurance in Higher Education was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at MIET.
Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Director, Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu was the chief guest and the key resource person for the workshop.
The workshop covered important aspects such as institutionalizing quality, creating learning organizations, creating a high-performance culture and technological interventions for quality assurance.
Over 100 faculty members at MIET attended the workshop and benefitted from the experience and exposure of Dr Kilam.
Director, Academics MIET, Prof S K Sharma welcomed Dr Kilam and expressed gratitude for conducting the workshop on a very important area as higher education sector in India is facing issues of quality and effectiveness.
Prof Ankur Gupta, Director, MIET also spoke on the occasion and described Dr Kilam as a pioneer in the domain of quality assurance. He also expressed gratitude to Dr Kilam for all her support to MIET and hoped that she will continue to guide the institution.
He also reiterated the institution’s commitment to quality assurance going forward Ruksana Salathia, Quality Assurance Officer, presented the Vote of Thanks. Dignitaries present on the occasion included Prof G S Sambyal, Prof B S Komal, Prof P N Sharma, Prof Vinod Madan, Dr Vijay Kaul and Sahil Sawhney.
