JAMMU, Feb 17: A 2-day workshop on visualization of women problem by Women Directors, Producers and Writers, ‘Kalam Se Camera Tak’ is being organized by Montage Films in collaboration with The Center for Women’s Studies of Government College for Women, Parade for the College students, here.
Lavlin Thadani and Rama Pandey of international fame in the field of Literature and Production will be the resource persons.
Montage films is a company which not only makes films but it is a culmination of all literary works related to creativity be it books, poems, events, films, television etc. Recently montage film organized Jashn-e-Virasat in collaboration with Jammu Doordarshan, J&K Police and J&K Govt Colleges to promote J&K Heritage and Culture Rama Pandey is the owner of this Company. She was the first woman as a producer-director at BBC Radio Service and is also a well known actor, director and writer.
Lavlin Thadani has written many books, which include ‘A Friend from Siberia’, ‘The Mystery Flower’, ‘When the Fish began to fly…’, ‘Meri Zameen Mera Aasman and Moments-a Collection of Poems in English.
The workshop will have five technical sessions. The main focus of the Workshop is to encourage and motivate the women writers, enhance the writing skills of the students and give them an insight into the direction and production of films.
