JAMMU, May 30: Fulfilling their commitment towards enhancing content creation and vetting, a two day long workshop organised by the Directorate of Samagra Shiksha (SS) was concluded here today.
Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by the Project Director, Samagra Shiksha, Rakesh Magotra and presided over by Prof. Sindhu Kapoor Joint Director SCERT.
Deputy Director Planning, Bilal Rashid, welcomed the chief guest and other participants, besides this highlighted the purpose of the workshop.
Project Director Samagra Shiksha, in his key note address, said that Content creation and vetting Workshops are being organized for the Subject Matter Experts nominated by Directorate of SCERT/ Directorate School Education Jammu/Kashmir, to develop the content & Vetting of already available content for the chatbots/Digital platforms, to be used by the students.
He further informed that the whole exercise is being done, to make the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), fully operational, which will create ample opportunities for dissemination of good content for students, children and other stakeholders.
“The data-driven Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) project aims to transform India’s educational system. VSK strives to measure and monitor student enrolment and retention rates, learning level advancement, textbook distribution, teacher and school assistance, among other important areas, by utilizing data analytics and educational technologies,” he added.
Prof. Sindu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT in her address, extended best wishes to the participants and said that interest shown by the Subject Matter experts is a testament to the ongoing efforts of the School Education Department, to revolutionise educational system and provide a conducive learning environment for the students.
Among others who attended the workshop included State Coordinator, Prem Nath, Ajeet Sharma, Raj Kumar Chadha, Oneel Bhat, Satyan Raina, I/C Principal SRML Hr. Secondary School, besides Dr. Kuldeep Kumar, Dr. Naveen Katoch and Asif Malik (SO).
