JAMMU, July 3: A two-day workshop organised for the women associated with the Jammu Kashmir Rural Livelihood Mission (JKRLM) concluded here today.
The workshop organised by FICCI FLO JKL, concluded in the presence of Indu Kanwal Chib, Mission Director of JKRLM.
The workshop’s resource person was CA Tripti Khajuria, a member of FICCI FLO JKL, supported by Shruti Uppal, Block Program Manager, Bhalwal.
Addressing to the attendants, Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL, commended the women for travelling from various distant areas to participate in the workshop.
She emphasized the importance of women managing their own finances and becoming familiar with various banking methods that can be accessed from home.
Ruchika also extended her gratitude to Indu Kanwal Chib, MD JKRLM, for facilitating the workshop and praised her dedication to initiatives benefiting rural women.
Special thanks were also given to Mridu Salathia, Assistant Director JKRLM, for her support.
CA Tripti Khajuria, the workshop’s resource person, covered a wide range of financial topics, including the meaning and importance of savings, documentation and its significance, the benefits of keeping money in the bank, types of accounts such as current accounts, NBFCs, BSBD accounts, account opening procedures, KYC, digital banking, net banking, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and lending by banks, Non-Performing Assets (NPA), and bank credit linkage.
The workshop participants engaged enthusiastically, posing numerous questions to gain clarity on the topics discussed.
A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation was shared with them for future reference.
The event was attended by FICCI FLO JKL core team members Varuna Anand, Immediate former Chairperson, Mona Saraf, Executive Secretary and Nandita Bajaj, Joint Executive Secretary.
