JAMMU, Sept 11: To upgrade the Legal Metrology Officers and meet the challenge put forth by innovations on daily basis in technologies advancement in the sector of dispensing units meant for delivering costly petrol and diesel to the consumers, a two days workshop was organized by Joint Controller Legal Metrology for Jammu province.
All the District officers as well as Inspectors of Jammu province was given theoretical as well as practical training by Deputy Controllers on the various issues related to fraudulent use, calibration procedures of new variety of dispensing units which work on the latest technology of e-calibration and fool-proof sealing.
During field training it was demonstrated practically to officers by Deputy Controller all the necessary steps needed to be taken to protect the consumers’ interest and to prevent any short delivery to the consumers.
