JAMMU, Aug 28: The Placement Cell of the University of Jammu in collaboration with the Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance, University of Jammu, today organized a one day workshop on “Placement Strategy for MBA students” in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Environmental Sciences today.
The workshop was attended by all the Business Schools of Jammu including SMVDU, BGSBU, IMS, MIET as well as The Business School, JU, ICCCR & HRM and the Kathua Campus, University of Jammu. Partha Pratim Dasgupta currently Chief Mentor, Reliance Industries Limited and in charge Corporate Affairs, IIM Kashipur, was the principal resource person.
Dasgupta spoke on the fast nature changing of job profiles pointing out that Business Schools are currently training people for jobs that do not exist and training them in technologies which were either obsolete or near obsolescence. The participants included both faculty members as well as MBA students and participated enthusiastically in this interactive workshop. Finally the solutions offered by the various groups of faculty and participants were discussed.
