KISHTWAR, Sept 25: A workshop on the rights of under-trials/ detainees was conducted under the chairmanship of Bala Jyoti, Chairman district Legal Services Authority (Pr. Dist. & Sessions JudgeKishtwar) , wherein judicial officers, prosecuting wing , PLVs, litigants, police personnel and jail authorities were present.
The workshop is firstof its kind in Kishtwar which was organized and held for the welfareof the under-trials.
Speaking on this occasion Bala Jyoti apprised the audiences with respect to constitutional rights of theunder-trials. She emphasized need of sensitization of Police officers, Advocates, Judicial officers.
Sr. Advocates of the bar also spoke on the occasion and discussed various provisions of law.
The president Bar Association Kistwar O.P Parihar, M.H Waza secretary Bar Association Kishtwar, Sr. Advocate Mr. I.A Hamal andSheikh Nasir Hussain were prominent amongst those who expressed their views.
