JAMMU, Feb 26: A workshop on solid waste management was conducted by the Department of Tourism at JKTDC here today.
The seminar started with a welcome address by Director Tourism, Jammu. An expert from Team Raahat, Ram Prasad delivered power-point presentation and an informative lecture on various aspects of eco-tourism and necessary conditions for achieving garbage free sustainable tourism on the Modals of Kerala and other States.
It was followed by an interactive session in which the officers participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The practical analysis and real-time solutions to the problems related to solid waste management made it an informative session.
All the officers from Department of Tourism, CEOs of Tourism Development Author-ities were present among others. The workshop will help creating awareness about clean and environment friendly practices in Tourism Management.
