Workshops for IAS aspirants begin at SR College

JAMMU, May 21:  In the backdrop of good selections from the State and ever-growing interest among young men and women from Jammu and Kashmir in the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), the SR College of Competitions is organizing  two-day free workshops for the Civil Services aspirants on Saturday and Sunday.
The purpose of such an exercise was to equip the aspirants with all the necessary information on the General Studies and CSAT components of the most competitive examination in the country.
Known for its value added and personalized guidance for Civil Services, the SR College this time invited Avadh Pratap Ojha of Vajiram and Ravi (Delhi based top coaching institute) and Rohit Wazir   from Delhi. The team of experts also includes Vivek Sharma.
The areas covered on the opening day of the workshop included providing the necessary information about the examination, orienting toward right preparation strategies and the attitude and mind set development for cracking the examination.
About 400 Civil Services aspirants are expected to take benefit of the experience and expertise of the facilitators, who fulfilled the ‘Civil Services’ dream of hundreds of young men and women across the country.
“Encouraged by the success rate of those appearing for the Civil Services of the country from Jammu and Kashmir and repeated requests from the visiting educated youth, seeking guidance in the hands of expert individuals, it was decided to hold series of workshops to accommodate everyone in the process of imparting knowledge,” said Director of SR College, Parveen Sharma.
“Around 200 Civil Services aspirants were imparted basic knowledge amidst healthy discussions touching various aspects of the most competitive examination in the country during four different sessions of three-hour each duration today. The workshops shall continue for the second day tomorrow with more doubt clearing sessions,” Parveen Sharma added.
