JAMMU, Nov 24: Ajatshatru Singh, senior BJP leader and former Minister expressed pleasure and happiness over the presence of valuable documents in Dogra Art Museum and Archives Reference Library and asserted that he is actively involved in further enriching this repository so that the precious heritage is preserved for the future generations.

As a part of World Heritage Week, Ajatshatru Singh paid a visit to the Dogra Art Museum and Archives Reference Library, Mubarak Mandi here today.
Singh went around the museum and library evincing keen interest in the documents present preserved excellently in this repository.
He was briefed about the rare saved documents available in this significant and prestigious library in detail by Dr Sangeeta Sharma, Assistant Director of Archives Reference Library.
Speaking to media persons Singh said that he became quite emotional while going through multiple documents with contributions by the Dogra rulers especially Maharaja Hari Singh.
He said that people in general are aware only about the bravery of the Dogra rulers but they are supposed to know about the other tremendous contributions by these rulers for the welfare of the people of this erstwhile State.
“The future generations will come to know about it only when such rare documents and information are preserved properly,” said Singh and added that he will leave no stone unturned in making this repository richer in terms of precious and rare documents within his reach so that progeny is well aware of its precious heritage of the ancestors and how much regard and respect and regard we owe to them.
He also complemented the staff of the Museum and Library for the commendable job in this direction done by them.
