JAMMU, Oct 11: Government Degree College (GDC) Chenani celebrated World Post Day with great enthusiasm by organising an intra-college essay and poster making competition for students.
A large numbers of students from different colleges participated in this completion wherein Yash Paul Kumar succeeded to bag 1st prize while 2nd prize was clinched by Sakshi and 3rd prize was secured by Payal Manhas of GDC Chenani.
Ankita Thakur, Palvi Singh, Sufia Malik, Palak Dogra and Sunaina Anthal were awarded with consolation prizes.
The event was organised by Professor Ravi Kumar under the supervision of college Principal, Dr Pragya Khanna. “The aim of the event was to bring awareness among the students about role of the post in everyday lives of people and its contribution to global social and economic development,” Khanna said.
