Every year March 22, is celebrated as ‘World Water Day’ all over the world. Water is precious and important for life on planet earth. Without water we cannot imagine life on earth. But, unfortunately , water is continuously depleting from all the sources which is a threat to all forms of life on earth.
Our water table is also going low due to erratic monsoon and changing climate. And we take no initiative to save water. Most of our educated people are unaware of this problem. There is need to contemplate over it. March 22 reminds all the stakeholders about the fact that water is scarce, precious and therefore, should be efficiently managed for country’s sustainable development.
