‘NEP 2020 offers unique fusion’

BILLAWAR, Sept 30: Maintaining that India’s quantum rise in world esteem has ignited the aspirations and confidence of weaker sections of the society and students, Union Minister in PMO with Independent Charge of Science & Technology; Dr Jitendra Singh today said that a new hope has been generated among them for an innovative career.

Addressing an education programme at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir, Senior Secondary School, Dadwara (Phinter), near here in district Kathua today, Dr Jitendra Singh said India’s growing world esteem has given confidence to country’s youth and weaker sections of the society and they are now aspiring for modern startups and innovative career.
The Union Minister said India’s education system offers a unique fusion of traditional knowledge and latest world-class technology, thus giving an exclusive advantage to India to lead the world.

Dr Jitendra Singh said India is now ahead of the best developed economies of the world under PM Narendra Modi that was unimagined a decade before. The world now wants India to lead them in almost every sphere, the success of G20, accepting the proposal of declaring 2023 as the International Year of Millets, International Yoga Day becoming a global phenomenon etc. shows the prowess of India under the present Government, he added.
By way of Research and innovation through international collaboration and partnership, India is also committed to achieve the Net Zero emissions target which shows that country is taking the lead in addressing the global concerns and leading the global climate movement under PM Narendra Modi.
While addressing the students, Dr Jitendra Singh said, National Education Policy-2020 has opened up new vistas for the youth of this country which is no longer the prisoner of aspiration but has aspirations in abundance and avenues in tons, with numerous opportunities knocking at their doors.
Appreciating the contribution of Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Schools across India, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, these schools have not only instilled the cultural ethos among its students but have made them capable to be the part of India’s development journey which has been showcased when it’s alumni has been the part of G20, Chandrayaan Mission etc.
Dr Jitendra Singh announced Solar plant for the School under MP LAD Fund.Six years back the Minister had given one solar plant for the School besides a computer lab. He also announced that he will arrange the tour for the children of the School to different scientific institutions of the country who will get information about the various projects launched by Modi Government.
Dr Jitendra Singh said that Modi Government has taken keen interest for the welfare of the weaker sections of the society especially SCs and series of supportive schemes have been launched which included scholarships at pre matric, matric and higher education level.
During his tour to the area, Dr Jitendra Singh visited SC Colonies and enquired about the special schemes launched by the Modi Government for their welfare. The Minister also interacted with the villagers in front of administration and sought a feedback from them on PM’s Aawas Yojna under which the concrete houses were built for the poor people.
He also held a interactive darbar with local women who commended Central Government’s Ujwala Yojna due to which they were relieved of health hazards of cooking on wood. They also informed Minister that the toilets were constructed in various localities where the people lacked this facility.
Dr Jitendra Singh issued directives to officers concerned to immediately construct the public toilets where the demand is being made by the people. He also instructed the administration to construct public community hall exclusively for SC population which should be named on Dr B R Ambedkar.
The local PRIs and leaders who accompanied the Union Minister on the occasion included Neelu Thakur, N D Tripathi and Vikram Singh and BJP district president Basohli, Darshan Singh.
The 20 th UT level Sanskriti Mahatosav ,Ganit ,Computer,Vigyan Mela 2023 at Sant Bal Yogeshwar Bharatiya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Dadwara was organised by the Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti J&K from September 29 and it will conclude tomorrow.
The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Jitendra Singh in the presence of Zabeer Ahmed Director CSIR IIM Jammu, Vinay Khosla Additional Deputy Commissioner, Billawar, Dr. Ravial Singh Sr. Scientist CSIR -IIIM, Dr Niwas Kotta ,Dr. Jitender Kumar, Dr. Nagraju Scientists CSIR IIM , Hari Saran Lalotra, Joint Secretary BSS , Manoj Nashir Abadkar, Charan Dass Gupta Members BSS, Chander Bhushan Gupta. Angrez Singh , Charan Dass Shastri President/ Secretary/Treasure SMC SYBVM and many others.
Samir Krishan Sapru, officesecretary/Prant Sanyoj Sanskriti Bodh Pariyojana read the welcome address. He along with Pradeep Singh, Prant Sanyojak Vigyan highlighted the aims, objectives and activities of Vidya Bharti Schools in J&K.
Zabeer Ahmed, Director CSIR IIM Jammu said that he finds himself lucky to join this programme and Vidya Bharti JK and IIM are supporting each other in such programmes since last 30 years. He while, appreciating the role of teachers on preparing the students for such fair assured his cooperation in future programmes of IIM & Vidya Bharti.
