WPHRF demands relief amount as given to KPs

KATHUA, Jan 14: West Pakistani Hindu Refugee Front (WPHRF) has urged upon the Central Government to provide cash relief amount at the rate of Rs 10,000 per month as being given to Kashmiri migrants to the refugee families.
A meeting of the Front was held at Kathua under the chairmanship of Sub Maj (Retd) M L Dabgotra, chairman of the Front today. The members expressed that the amount worth Rs 5.50 lakh PM package was not adequate and should be considered as just an installment. He said the recommendations of the JPC were ignored and a meagre amount was provided to the over 5700 WPR families.
Dabgotra demanded Rs 10,000 as cash relief for the refugee families per month as cash assistance being provided to the Kashmir migrants by Government besides other facilities including jobs. He said a memorandum in this connection has already been submitted to the Union Home Minister.
HS Soodan and Master Dev Raj also spoke on the occasion.
