JAMMU, Dec 3: Writer’s Forum Jammu organized book release ceremony of “Falak Aasaar”, a collection of 80 gazals and 130 nazms of Pritpal Singh Betab at Amar Singh Club, here today.
Sahitya Academy Award winner Krishan Kumar Toor presided over the function, whereas Khalid Bashir, Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language was the chief guest. Javed Anwar, Editor, Tehreek-e-Adab, Varanasi was the guest of honour.
Khalid Hussain and Dr Riyaz Ahmed spoke at length about the Falak Aasaar, wheras Sunil Sharma read a detailed and impressive paper, which was appreciated by one and all.
Earlier, the welcome address was presented by Sunil Sharma, whereas in the end, the vote of thanks was presented by Sudhir Mahajan.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Raj Kumar Chandan.
Among others present were Dr Sat Pal Srivatsa, Ahmed Shanas, Sham Sajan, Amarjeet Kour Neer, Deepak Aarsi, Amar Singh Kuku and Sham Talib.
