POONCH, Oct 16: Executive Engineer PHE Poonch, Sarwan Singh has ordered an inquiry into the incident of recovery of dead dog in the water pool at the PHE pipes leaking point at Surankote, leading to protest by public and attached two employees in this connection.
An official spokesman said that Executive Engineer Poonch taking serious note of the matter attached two field staff members of the area and asked AEE Surankote to hold inquiry into the matter. He also accused Municipal Committee authorities Surankote for its alleged callous attitude and not removing dead animal from there, as area falls under its jurisdiction. He said EO SMC or the Director Local Bodies should also take cognizance of the matter.
