JAMMU, June 14: Reierating its appeal to Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Raman Bhalla, Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) has urged them to keep their promise by filling up the remaining 1500 posts under PM’s package from the merit list already pending with recruitment agency.
Talking to reporters here, today the president YAIKS, R K Bhat along with his vice president, Sunil Koul said that recently a delegation of their organization called on Omar Abdullah and apprised him of the plight of hundreds of displaced youth who are in waiting list and had left their jobs in private sector to volunteer themselves to serve in Kashmir Valley.
The YAIKS leader said that his organization suspended the dharna at Srinagar last week on the assurance of Government.
Bhat said that Chief Minister was informed that these youth were eagerly looking for the issuance of appointment orders for last two years and though the assurances were given number of times by the Government that the candidates in waiting list will be absorbed on 1500 remaining posts till date the formal orders were not issued which has been a cause of concern among them.
He said the delegation also informed the Chief Minister that in the Cabinet decision No 143/19/2011 of August 19,2011 it has been clearly stated that the de-reserved posts numbering 800 and non joining posts numbering 700 would be filled up from already approved list be recruitment agency. The delegation prayed before Omar Abdullah to implement the decision and give justice to these hapless youth who are the worst victims of turmoil, as they could not seek proper facilities for schooling after being hounded out from their homes and hearths in Valley.
“When NHRC directive is being considered by the Government to give a chance to those selected youth who could not join during last two years why not the waiting list candidates would be considered also on the de -reserved posts asked Bhat?.
He also demanded advertisement of remaining 3000 posts under State Government sponsorship out of 6000 job package announced by PM without further loss of time.
He warned that in case the appeal will not be considered by the Government and it issues fresh advertisements for the 1500 posts the YAIKS would be left with no alternative but knock the doors of court of law.
