JAMMU, Sept 27: Expressing the hope that decisions taken in Apex Committee meeting will be implemented in letter and spirit, the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS), has expressed grave concern over the plight of unemployed displaced youth.
Addressing a meeting of the unemployed youth which was held under the banner of his organization here today, R K Bhat president, YAIKS also expressed the hope that the directions given by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah in the recently held Apex Committee meeting at Srinagar for the selection and appointment of 221 candidates whose posts have been already reserved and who have already completed all the formalities will also be implemented. These candidates deserve to be absorbed in Government services under PM’s package as they are the most deserving people, he added.
Bhat, while expressing satisfaction over reported Government move to start interviews from October 7 for remaining 1450 posts out of 3000 posts under PM’s Package to be absorbed in first phase, he demanded that the remaining 3000 posts out of sanctioned 6000 posts in package be also advertised soon and one time compensation for over aged who have been always neglected be released.
He urged the youth to be ready for serving in Kashmir Valley and urged the Government to ensure full security of such youth as this lot of youth can play a positive role in maintaining pluralistic character of Valley.
The return of KP youth will be an acid test for civil society of Kashmir also, he said and he expressed the hope that it will reciprocate in the same manner.
YAIKS vice president B K Bhat and other leaders Sunil Koul, Manoj Handoo, Ajay Safaya, Sanjay Ganjoo and others attended the meeting.
