YAIKS president discusses migrants’ problems with Joint Secy MHA

JAMMU, Nov 19: President Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) R K Bhat held a meeting with Joint Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs in Union Capital and discussed the charter of demands already submitted by the organization to Union Home Ministry during the recent rath yatra taken out by it from Jammu to New Delhi.
Mr Bhat said that after threadbare discussion the Joint Secretary assured that the remaining 3000 posts of employment package will also be advertised soon and the employment package will be implemented on fast track basis in a time bound manner.
Bhat said it has also been agreed that one family will be given one job and priority will be given to those families who were not earlier benefited under PM’s package including the adjustment of 221 candidates who are also fighting for their rights for years together.
He said the Joint Secretary also gave him assurance that posts will be created for all qualified job seekers including doctors and other gazetted cadre being filled up through PSC and a special recruitment drive for displaced youth will also be launched in Police Department.
The joint secretary also informed that all measures will be taken to grant one time compensation and enhancement of cash relief.
Mr Bhat said that he informed the Union Government that the permanent rehabilitation was only possible by carving out three smart cities for the displaced people. He also demanded IDP status to displaced people.
