JAMMU, May 25: Yamini Cultural Society, Jammu today organised “Sugam Sangeet-2017” here at YCS Studio which was witnessed and highly appreciated by the by the audience presented on the occasion.
The main motive to organise today’s programme was to channelize the new budding talented children especially the youth. As today’s youth has forgotten his/her aim and running towards an endless journey of stress and falling in the clutches of the Drug Mafia which leads them to a life which is full of sorrows and miseries, today’s presentation has succeeded in its motive.
Young singers showed their best especially Gautam Singh sang very good numbers of Rafi Sahib. The main highlight of programme was the performance of the Dogra Sisters. After performing in the capital city of the country the Dogra Sisters had came back to their home city so that they can share their experiences/ success stories with younger generation so that they can be motivated and freely chose the right path for their future life. Veena Dogra and Chanchal Dogra performed very well. Audience liked their songs like Ae mere watan ke logo, Aage bhi jaaney na tu, Afsana likh rahi hoon, Yeh sama sama hai ye pyar ka. Audience demanded the beautiful song from the film Tajmahal “Jurm-e-Ulfat pe hamein log saza detey hain, Kaise nadaan hain sholon ko hawa detey hain” which was beautifully sung by Veena Dogra.
The duo sisters shared their experience and while interacting with the youngsters and advised them to be a good listener, try to overcome their problems by understanding the problems of their parents, especially the young age children should understand their problems, their source of income so that they can demand as per income and savings of their parents which is the main problem of today’s youth.
Nikhil Singh compered the programme. Gautam Singh president of Yamini Cultural Society, Jammu thanked all the audience and the Dogra Sisters for sparing their valuable time. Some youths voluntarily offered their services to join the Society.
