SRINAGAR, Aug 31: Chairman People’s Democratic Front and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen today filed his nomination papers for Khansahib Assembly constituency before the Returning Officer.

A large gathering of people including PDF workers and his supporters accompanied him in a procession up to the office of the RO.
Later, Yaseen addressed the gathering and vowed to leave no stone unturned for safeguarding dignity and identity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“My first priority in the Assembly would be to fight for protecting the rights of the locals populace on land and employment. Any move to change the demographic status of J&K would be opposed tooth and nail,” he said.
Hakeem said PDF along with other like minded political parties would move a Constitutional motion, in the upcoming Legislative Assembly for restoration of all Constitutional rights which were usurped unilaterally and arbitrarily post August 5, 2019 in J&K.
He vowed to take Khansahib and Budgam areas to the new highs of development and prosperity.
In the meantime, Fayaz Ahmad Butt son of Feroz Ahmad Butt from Sathu Barbar Shah today filed his nomination paper from Habba Kadal Assembly constituency Srinagar as an Independent candidate. He has been set up as a candidate by Muslim Majlis Uttar Pradesh.
