Yatra to holy shrine of Mattan flagged off

JAMMU, June 7: The yatra buses to participate in Vijay Saptmi celebrations at holy shrine of Martand (Mattan) in South Kashmir district of Anantnag were flagged off here, today by president Samohik Kashmiri Sangathan (SKS) and councilor, Mattan Rakesh Koul.
It may be recalled that Viya Saptmi comes after every nine years and this is also one of the important festivals to be celebrated at Mattan.
The yatris who left for holy shrine of Mattan in the morning reached there in the evening and having two days stay there these pilgrims will leave for Mata Kheer Bhawani, Tulmula Kashmir on June 10 and will return to Jammu on June 11.
Koul, who arranged the buses from Relief Organisation complimented Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner Jammu for his cooperation and support.
General secretary SKS, Bharat Kachroo termed it a good step launched by Koul and demanded that in future yatras to all shrines of Valley be encouraged.
