JAMMU, Nov 12: A three day  industrial visit-cum-educational tour for students of  Mechanical Engineering (Semester 5th) was organized  by Yogananda College of Engineering & Technology (YCET), here recently.
The students  visited  Dharamshala  Power Limited (Manuri Hydro Electric Project) Khanyara, Dharamshala, District Kangra.
Er. Dinkar Sharma, Senior Project Manager (Hydro) took the students to different sections of the large Hydro power plant and gave detailed information about the turbines, its applications and operations.
Er. Neeraj Pandita COD, Mechanical Engineering also briefed the budding engineers on working of installed machines, generators, conveyers, hoist and chains used to lift heavy machinery.
The students got desired exposure and first hand information regarding working of Hydro Power Projects in real time.
The students were also taken to sightseeing places and beautiful scenic spots of tourist attractions in Dharamshala and McLeodganj.
They were accompanied by senior faculty members Er Rhea Mahajan and Er Ankush Sharma.
