Yemberzal Foundation endorses demand for separate Duggar Satellite Channel

JAMMU, June 15: Yamberzal Foundation Jammu an amalgamation of performing artists, poets, musicians, scholars and literates living in exile unanimously supported the demand of Jammu artists for the setting of Duggar Sattelite Channel in Jammu.
Yamberzal Foundation extends their solidarity in the struggle of Jammu artists for this genuine cause for which Jammu artists are struggling for last many years said Bihari Kak, president of the Foundation.
He said the cultural heritage, its preservance and its transmission to the younger generations can play a great role by the audio visual media during the present times. When Dogri language is part of 8th Schedule and when other recognised languages have their separate Doordarshan Channel, then the reason of denying Duggar Sattelite Channel is in no way justified, he added.
The Yemberzal Foundation, held a meeting here, today that was presided over by Bihari Kak, its president. The other artists including Kamal Razdan, Ravi Kachroo, Ashok Zalpuri, Ashok Zafrani, Ravi Pandita, Sahiba Bhat, Rakesh Mirza, Ashok Kak, J K Raina , Bharti Zaroo etc who attended the meeting also supported the setting of Duggar Satellite Channel in Jammu.
Kak, during the meeting made an appeal to Union Government headed by Narendra Modi in this regard and expressed the hope that Government of India will look into this genuine demand and fulfil the aspirations of Dogra community as well as the artistic fraternity of the Jammu region.
