JAMMU, Aug 18: Youth National Conference (YNC) under the leadership of Rohit Bali, YNC vice-president for Jammu Province, today held a protest here at Purani Mandi against Pakistan for ongoing ceasefire violations in Balakote sector of Poonch district.
A large number of YNC activists took part in the protest, raised anti-Pakistan slogans and burnt Pakistan flags.
Condemning the recent ceasefire violation by Pakistan in which six persons got killed and several injured, Rohit Bali, said that dialogue between both the countries is the only option to resolve all issues.
Bali also attacked present coalition Government alleging that since the PDP-BJP coalition Government has come into force, the cease fire violations on borders have increased sharply with people losing their lives on both sides of border.
He demanded the Government to pay a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in these ceasefire violations and Rs 5 lakh to those who became handicapped. He also demanded to allot five Marla of plot to each border dweller at safe places.
