POONCH, Dec 28: Laun-ching scathing attack on PDP-BJP coalition over implementation of Food Security Act in Jammu and Kashmir, Youth National Conference today termed the decision as anti-people saying this will deprive huge chunk of rationed population of their due.
“The coalition Governm-ent has totally turned insensitive to mass aspirations, as public outcry goes unheard and unattended”, Provincial Youth National Conference President Jammu Mr Ajaz Jan said while leading a huge protest demonstrations at Mandi this afternoon.
He said that this law will cause more harm rather than any good to the people and asked the Government to see reason and desist from its wrong policies based on whims and fancies.
Jan also referred to the local issues with regard to erratic power and water supply besides dilapidated road network and unattended utility services. He said performance inertia is galore in each sector and the problems of people are accumulating with each passing day.
Provincial Vice President expressed concern over the delay in distribution of solar lights to the already listed beneficiaries, saying clandestine attempts were being made to deprive the genuine people by including the workers having allegiance to PDP and BJP. He cautioned against such machinations and gave a fortnight’s time to allot these lights to the beneficiaries lest the people will be forced to take to streets. He said the scheme had been conceptualized during the National Conference led Government and for the past ten months these remain to be provided to the targeted beneficiaries.
