JAMMU Apr 21: Youth National Conference held a protest rally against the ‘illogical and anti-youth’ new recruitment policy of the PDP-BJP Coalition Government and demanded its immediate roll back.
Led by YNC Provincial president, Surinder Singh Bunty, the YNC workers raised slogans against the decision and cautioned the Government to withdraw it immediately or get ready to face strong agitation. They also burnt the effigy of the State Government.
Addressing the workers Mr Bunty said that the decision is a covert move to politicize the recruitments which will jeopradise the career of youth. He said this will also lead to corruption and nepotism on a massive scale.
“What an irony that the appointees will have to work at the whims and fantasies of politicians and unscrupulous elements”, he said adding that what if the performance of some of the appointees shall not be found satisfactory. “Will they be shunted out”, he asked and said this amounts to give a hammer to the controlling officers who can take disadvantage of their prerogative of declaring the appointees performance satisfactory or unsatisfactory.
The Provincial YNC president urged the youth to get ready for a big struggle to prevail upon the Government for withdrawing the order on immediate basis.
Prominent among those present included Ayub Malik, Rohit Bali, Pankaj Kohli, Som Raj Taroch, Sanju Manhas, Kuldeep Ghai, Pankaj  Khajuria, Waheed Kasana, Aman Cheema, RP Singh, Mohinder Kumar, Apinder Pal Singh,  Anoop Sharma, Abdul Qadir, C P Singh Bagga and others.
