Yoga exponent Nidhi Dogra did Scorpion posture asana for 6.01 minutes creating world record

HAMIRPUR (HP), Oct 3:
World-renowned Yoga exponent, Nidhi Dogra, a student of Class VIII of Government Senior Secondary School, Chauri of the Hamirpur district today created another milestone for her when she remained in scorpion posture asana for 6.01 minutes.
The young Hamirpur girl is going to create a Guinness World Record in this posture. This record is yet to be verified by the committee of the Yoga book of World records.
All the guidelines of covid-19 were kept in mind in this program. The chief guest of this program was Dilbar Jeet Chandra, Deputy Director of Higher Education, District Hamirpur.
In this program Dr. Pawan Verma, Assistant Professor Government Degree College Hamirpur HP was in the role of Time Keeper, and Dr. Vikash Nadda, Assistant Professor Himachal Pradesh Technical University HP in the role of Witness.
The coordinator of this program was Mr. Rajneesh Rangra, Principal of the said school. Nidhi Dogra tried to break the record of the scorpion position recorded in the Guinness World Records. Pertinently, the longest time to hold the scorpion position was 4 min 47 sec and was achieved by Neha Bharathi D, (India) in Tamil Nadu, India, on 19 September 2021.
Nidhi Dogra of Chairi Khiund village, Himachal Pradesh on 13 September has earlier set a world record in yoga by performing 35 different asanas in one minute.
Performing in a virtual competition on behalf of the All India Yoga Federation (ABYM), she set a world record for performing Pranav asana for 45 minutes. (UNI)
