AYODHYA (UP), Feb 11 : MLAs of all the political parties, excluding members of Samajwadi Party (SP), along with the ministers in the Chief Minister Yogi government visited the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on Sunday.

Immersed in a devotional spirit, the MLAs sang the praises of Lord Ram while sitting with CM Yogi and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Satish Mahana. Tight security arrangements were made for the visit by Home Secretary Sanjay Prasad and DGP Prashant Kumar.

During the VVIP moment, attention was paid to ensuring that common devotees faced no difficulties. Along with the cabinet, a large number of common devotees also had darshan of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on Sunday.

The devotees were visibly excited to find the CM in their midst and the entire area echoed with the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. The convoy of UP MLAs and ministers left Lucknow at around 9 am in 10 luxury buses. On their way to Ayodhya, arrangements were made for breakfast for all the public representatives in Barabanki.

The convoy reached Ayodhya at around 11.30 am while the CM reached Ayodhya from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. The local residents riding bulldozers welcomed the team by showering flowers on them and chanting slogans of Jai Shri Ram.

Meanwhile, the MLAs and ministers accepted the greetings of the people by shaking hands. Local artists also performed various forms of folk dance to welcome and congratulate the public representatives.

School children were also seen welcoming them. MLAs and ministers were granted entry through Gate Number 11.

After this, all the MLAs and ministers along with the CM went to have darshan of Lord Ram. After the darshan, the team had prasad and also lunch on the temple premises.

Expressing his emotions after the darshan, Speaker of UP Assembly Satish Mahana said, “I am very emotional because when I came to this place, there was a structure standing here, which was broken in front of us on December 6. I visited here when bullets were fired in 1990. I came at a time when the construction of the platform was taking place, and today, I have had the privilege of witnessing the divine presence directly.”
