UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: Under mysterious circumstances, a nominated bodybuilder was today found hanging in
A Mobile Tower control room at Kothi area under the jurisdiction of Rehambal Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Puran Singh (28), son of Bansi Lal of Kothi Amar Colony, Malhar Morh in Rehemble area of District Udhampur. He was found hanging under mysterious circumstances. While hanging, his knees were touching the ground thus raising doubts on the probability of a suicide.
As per reports, Puran Singh was professionally a body builder and he was nominated as Mr J&K 2017, Mr Punjab and Mr India 3rd Rank.
Police after getting the information, reach the spot and shifted the dead body to District hospital Udhampur for Autopsy. After completing legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to the family members.
Police has registered a case under section 174 CrPC and started further investigation.
Meanwhile, a Traffic Police Constable on duty was injured when a Tata Mobile vehicle (JK14C-0186) hit him at Sangur. The injured, identified as SGC Zakir Hussain of Mendhar, was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu. The vehicle involved in the accident fled from the spot.
