KATHUA, June 18: In a rare incident, a young husband and her wife committed suicide by hanging themselves at different places.
According to the reports, the husband identified as Mintu Kumar (27) son of Babu Ram, a resident of Kishtwar allegedly committed suicide this evening by hanging self in a room at Hatli Morh (Kathua), where he was residing presently and working in a local factory.
At the same time, her wife also committed suicide while hanging herself at her residence in Kishtwar. As per reports, both husband and wife were on video call and they committed suicide in a planned way.
However, it is a matter of investigation as to why the couple took this extreme step. The body of Mintu Kumar was shifted to mortuary of GMC Kathua for postmortem and legal proceedings while Kathua Police had also started investigation into the matter.
