AKHNOOR, Oct 22: A one day programme for training young farmers of Block Samwan in Mushroom cultivation was held here today under Aspirational Block Development Programme for the year 2022-23 at Block Headquarter, Samwan.
The programme was held in the presence of Anil Kumar Thakur, SDM Khour.
Surinder Kumar, AEO Pallanwala imparted basic knowledge to the farmers and informed them that the Department of Agriculture would soon conduct 2-3 phase of detailed training programmes for practical skills and knowledge under Aspirational Block Development Programme.
Sarpanches, Panches, staff members of Block Development Officer, Samwan and Agriculture Extension Officer, Pallanwala were also present on the occasion.
About 705 Mushroom bags containing Mushroom seeds were distributed to hundreds of young farmers of various Panchayats of Block Samwan.
SDM Khour delivered a motivational speech to the beneficiaries and instructed all the departments to hold such awareness camps under the flagship programme for awareness of common masses and to identify developmental activities through Gram Sabhas.
