JAMMU, June 9: A young girl allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Sarode area, falling under the jurisdiction of Domana police station.
As per police sources, Priya Saini, daughter of Roop Lal of Sarode, Akalpur aged between 20 to 22 years allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Finding her unconscious, family members rushed the girl to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment and died.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Domana police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
