UDHAMPUR, Jan 13: A young girl committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances in her home at village Upper Balota in Basantgarh, here today.
The deceased was identified as Babli Devi (17), daughter of Sham Lal. She consumed some poisons substance in her home late last night and fell unconscious. Family members shifted her to PHC Basantgarh where doctors referred her to District Hospital Udhampur in view of her critical condition. However, she died as soon as she reached at DH Udhampur today.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
