UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: A young girl committed suicide by hanging herself from ceiling fan hook at her residence in village Kawa, here today.
According to the police report, Pallavi Devi (24), daughter of Girdhari Lal of village Kawa, was found hanging from ceiling fan hook under mysterious circumstances. On being informed by the family members, Police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the body to family members for last rites. Cause of suicide was yet to be ascertained while Udhampur Police has registered a case in this connection and started further investigation.
