Young girl dies after LPG cylinder explodes

POONCH, Sept 26: A 16-year-old girl was killed when an LPG cylinder exploded after it caught fire during cooking at village Bela in Mandi tehsil of district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said  that mishap took place when minor Hamida Begum, daughter of Ghulam Din, resident of Bela Mandi was cooking in the kitchen. Suddenly, the cylinder caught fire and the girl got trapped in flames  and then it blasted with big bang. The girl sustained serious injuries and was said to be killed on the spot. A portion of house also suffered damage but people controlled the fire.
The police from Mandi rushed to the spot and it shifted the body to Mandi hospital for postmortem and performing legal formalities. It has started investigation  into the case.
