JAMMU, Sept 30: A 17-year-old girl was found hanging today in New Plot area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Sania Anand daughter of Raj Kumar Anand, resident of House No 273, Lane No 21, Jawahar Nagar, New Plot. He said the girl was found hanging this evening with hook of the ceiling fan in her room.
“The body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection at police post Sarwal as no suicide note was recovered from the spot,” the official added.
