REASI, Apr 18: An 18-year-old girl was found hanging under suspicious circumstances at her house in Gajoti Bhandhar area of Thakarakote, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pouni.
The deceased girl has been identified as Kaka Devi, daughter of Ramesh Singh of Thakrakote. The family members saw her hanging with a scarf in a room. On being informed, Police team from PS Pouni reached the spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
While Police has registered a case for further investigation, it was an apparent case of suicide. However, cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
